The idea behind Remote Year is amazing, but this is still a work trip, so I need to make sure I’m well connected and have backups. All my files are backed up on a cloud, so hardware wise, if anything should happen, I’ll still be okay. Laptop and phone seem to be givens, here are the other hardware items I’ll be taking:
- iPad mini – incase something should happen to my laptop.
- iPad case with detachable keyboard – I can type without losing valuable screen space to an on-screen keyboard.
- Mouse – my trackpad isn’t the best, so I have to have a mouse!
- 3 sets of headphones – excessive maybe, but it’s one for my room, one for my purse and one for my backpack, so I’m never without one in case I have to take a call.
- USB key – if for some reason I need transfer or save files.
- Travel adaptor – this teckin one is awesome as it has 3 US sockets and 2 usb ports!
- Multi charging cable – along with the normal charging cables I need, I brought an extra as a backpack, and this one also doesn’t allow the transfer of files, so is safe to use in public spaces.
I think I’m covered and fully connected and backed up! There shouldn’t be anything else I need, right?
