Packing Saga 6: Unexpected Gifts

I am blessed to have amazing family and friends, probably better than I deserve! Actually, pretty sure better than I deserve! I’m so lucky to be loved and thought about. This year, I got quite a few unexpected gifts and though I’d love to take everything with me, I can’t. These are 4 items that have snuck into my luggage last minute.

Travel luck keychain – this came from my friend Barrie who brought it back from a trip to Israel. I remember being in the airport once and the family ahead of me was talking about how they didn’t have house keys, and I laughed to myself, until I realized I didn’t have house keys! I got picked up and dropped off at the airport leaving my keys with my parents. I was lucky that they were the ones picking me up, so that I could gain entry into my home! This time I won’t have to worry about it.

Tripod selfie stick – I’m not gonna lie, I used to make fun of people with these, but after using it during the holidays for group pictures, I kinda love it ☺️

Jet setter travel kit – blanket, socks and sleep mask. If you read my Socks and Sandals post you’ll know I love socks. I’ve never been an eye mask person, but once on a flight, I sat on the aisle seat and the sleeping woman in the window seat left the shade up. The sun was in my left eye for almost the entire flight, it was brutal and I’m actually quite grateful for this mask now. The cover is super soft and with the blanket in it, it can be a pillow.

Earring set – it’s hard to say no to shiney and new and I think these will compliment any outfit.

I’m so excited to use these items! And even happier they fit in my backpack, so I don’t have to worry about extra weight in my luggage lol
