Lunch Roulette

Day two of Remote Year included an intro to Lisbon presentation and a game of Lunch Roulette where you’re randomly placed with other Remotes for lunch. I had the pleasure of lunching with 1 of my 13 housemates, Monica, and another Remote, Dana.

The restaurant we were given was closed, so we went to the restaurant next door, which was a Brazilian run juice bar. Not quite the traditional Portuguese meal we expected, but the conversation was still great! I think one of the best parts of the Remote Year program is that I have a built in network! It’s so fascinating meeting and learning about my fellow remotes. Dana is starting on a career pivot from media to finance, and my housemate is a retired Air Force Division Deputy Chief! It was not the occupation I was expecting her to state, and I was blown away by her stories! It’s so exciting meeting so many new people and hearing about the lives they left behind to join Remote Year. I can’t wait for my next lunch date!
