Last year was the first time I did a Drag Brunch in Toronto, I’d never even heard of it before and I had such a great time! So when I saw an advert for a Drag Brunch at the LX Factory in Lisbon, I was all over it!
The LF Factory is an old factory turned market, a mix of graffiti, art and exposed brick, in Toronto, it’s cousin would be the Distillery District. It’s a creatives space, and creative place. On Sundays, among the usual storefronts are added stalls by local vendors selling foods, wines, and handmade crafts.
The Drag Taste is relatively new, it was only the 6th time they ran it when I was there and for something so new, I thought they did a great job. There were some kinks that needed to be worked out with a double booking which meant standing room only for some, but other than that, it was great. The show offers great entertainment, unlimited champagne, brunch foods and just so much joy!
Despite being in Lisbon, the show was in English, except for the portions where host grandmother Teresa Al Dente was making fun of us English speakers in Portuguese.
Pro Tip: There are two shows a day and reservations need to be made. Whether you take the earlier or later show, give yourself a couple hours to explore the LX Factory.
