Finding A Routine
Apr. 1 – It’s April Fools, not that it means much. It’s a little sad actually that there isn’t a silly piece of news to read and smile about. Six days in and things have been pretty good so far, but there is a definite need for some sort of a routine.
Today, Jen hosted a Pilates class in the morning, something we’ll try to do a couple times a week. I think it’ll be nice to get into some sort of a routine and have some scheduled exercise. It was also a great way to start off the morning. I felt somewhat productive, but after reading and working I fell into a slump. The stir crazy was settling in and it was only 6:30.

With that said, I’m super grateful that our accommodation has a large kitchen with lots of supplies. Today’s creative outlet was in the making of banana mocha ice cream. I hate wasting food and with some leftover pancakes this seemed like the perfect match. And of course, the process took much longer than expected, but again, it’s keeping me occupied and I’ve still managed to not touch Netflix just yet.
My days are starting to form as:
- Get up
- Meditate / Pilates
- Blog
- Read / Work
- Play in the kitchen
- Calls with friends
That’s not too bad actually, now that I see it written out… Just wish there were more spaces to accomplish all that in.
