Lockdown Day 23

Global Citizen

Apr. 18 – There are now over 2 million recorded cases of Covid-19 infections and over 150K deaths. It’s crazy to think that in February the majority of us were oblivious to this, only hearing about a virus that was like the flu. Who could have known what an impact it would make!

I still follow the news back home, here in South Africa and globally. Sometimes the news is dark, shedding light on the lack of testing, the many deaths, and dwindling resources available to protect healthcare workers. But sometimes there are also those amazing stories of others who are stepping up to help those in need. Putting themselves at risk to take care of others.

One World: Together at Home: Everything You Need to Know About ...

It’s been amazing to read stories about how people all banding together to combat this as one. I was really excited when I heard about the Global Citizen, One World: Together At Home concert, and despite the time zone difference, I stayed up until 4am to watch it. It’s amazing to see the solidarity that’s come from this and I’m so grateful that there is a positive power out there.
