Apr. 24 – I had my first ever migraine and I spent the entire day in bed. The world passed outside my window and I couldn’t be bothered to join it until almost 9pm.
Apr. 25 – Feeling a bit more human, I ventured out to the grocery store today. This was my first time going to the grocery store on a weekend and it felt almost normal. There were much more people around and other than the gloves and masks, it felt like grocery shopping did before. It was nice to see so many people and hear conversations about meats and produce. It sounds so silly but it was actually really nice to hear such mundane conversations.
Usually we try to avoid trips to the grocery store on the weekends, but we went today because of a baking accident. I decided I wanted homemade cookies. I had left the kitchen for a bit while the oven was warming and Selmo thought he’d help by putting the cookies in the for me. I was a little disappointed he did that, since I wanted to take a picture of them before they went in, but thought it’s no big deal and he was going to let me know when they came out. Of course, the cookies were forgotten and came out crispy. I really wasn’t pleased.
To try to make up for the cardboard cookies, we decided to go to the store to grab ice cream and other things we needed. It’s silly how something so little could be so annoying to me, but I was really not happy. On the up side, I did make a cute tray for Darby, and those at least came out lol.
