Team Darby’s Burdern
Apr. 27 – We’ve been really lucky with our lockdown and finding little bits of normalcy to get us through our days and weeks. This week had a great start with a pub night without a pub! Our house of 6 joined an online pub quiz night to raise funds for the CBD COMMUNITY ACTION NETWORK, who provide food packages to vulnerable communities in Cape Town.
Despite joining the event from our living rooms, I didn’t miss the pub! We were still all equally competitive and equally loud in yelling out our answers! It was great fun and we were able to donate to a great cause.
It was also incredible how much random knowledge the 6 of us had, out of the 50 questions, Team Darby’s Burden got 44, which was pretty good, but somehow the winning team got 48! Which I think we all found extraordinary. Even though we lost, it was still a great night and an awesome house activity to get us thinking.
